00/hour Primary Responsibilities Operate machinery which fills liquid/powder product into capsules and band seals capsules Understand and demonstrate the proper manner of operating, cleaning and maintaining the equipment used in the encapsulation process.
Adhere to all Quality Assurance regulations and complies with all Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) regulations and other company and industry policies and procedures.
Observe all safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain batch records.
Maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
Troubleshooting and minor equipment adjustments Additional duties as required or assigned by management.
Working Conditions Position requires lifting/standing and is carried out in the facility.
Exposure to raw materials, chemicals and some dust Required Skills and Abilities Ability to assemble and disassemble machinery Mechanically inclined Experience with machine operation Education High School Diploma or G.

Certificate or Equivalent Experience Preferred minimum of 1-2 years machine operations experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience Complying with all company safety regulations and procedures and report non-compliance Perform preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment (HPLC, NOVA) to ensure accurate operation Fill a Fermentation Research Technician position Serving as an effective safety steward by ensuring accurate reporting of near misses and attending safety training Assist during off hour and weekend lab operations activities (sampling, fermentor cleaning, inoculations) Analyze data and provide experimental reports to communicate with internal collaborators in R&D Prepare solutions and medias and perform required in-process testing Perform fermentation activities under cGMP's for the Vaccine Pilot Plant Administer budgets, schedules and performance requirements Operate, and sample bioreactors Identify and implement technical innovations that improve data quality, equipment reliability and equipment performance Work to SHE standards and encourage fellow colleagues to work to the same standards Utilize basic laboratory techniques, calculations, materials measurement, operation of laboratory equipment and record keeping necessary to manufacture products Conducted in lab, pilot plant and office facilities Conceive, design, plan, and complete fermentation experiments to improve fermentation performance metrics (productivity, yield, titer) Advise manager of factors that may affect the quality of the product Provide technical and scientific leadership and subject matter expertise, both in research and development, as well as in manufacturing and life cycle management Carry out microbial fermentations and analysis according to batch records Carry out research independently, anticipate potential problems, and implement preventative measures Work in a team environment with rotated two-shift operation Recommended Skills Machinery Maintain Records Maintenance Manufacturing Quality Assurance Troubleshooting Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
